By providing<br \/>both the basic concepts and cutting edge knowledge in each field, and by identifying the mutual relationships<br \/>between the fields in a systematic manner, this program aims at developing professionals who can take the lead in<br \/>engineering development in the electronic engineering field and who have the ability to develop innovative<br \/>technology by fusing together the different fields, which will be of growing importance in the future.<br \/>Specifically, this program offers education aimed at cultivating a broad range of general knowledge, an international<br \/>perspective which aspires to peace, a general sense of judgment, and a well-rounded character.<br \/>The program awards a bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering to students who, in addition to the number of credits<br \/>necessary to meet the standard of the course, have acquired the liberal arts education and specialized education<br \/>necessary to prepare them for achieving the following goals:<br \/>\u3010Goal A\u3011Acquisition of the ability to recognize the relationship between science and technology, and humankind,<br \/>society, and the natural environment, from various perspectives, and the ability to understand the responsibilities<br \/>engineers have for society.<br \/>\u3010Goal B\u3011 Acquisition of the basic knowledge commonly required in the field of electronic systems and the abilities<br \/>applicable to the field.<br \/>\u3010Goal C\u3011 Acquisition of the ability to analyze given challenges by using expertise, and draw solutions that meet<br \/>the requirements of society.<br \/>\u3010Goal D\u3011Acquisition of the ability to draw up plans and measures to resolve challenges, and the will to carry these<br \/>measures out.<br \/>\u3010Goal E\u3011Acquisition of the ability to gather information and to communicate in Japanese and English. Acquisition<br \/>of the ability to sum up one&#8217;s thoughts and accomplishments, to write logically, and to give a presentation.&#8221;<\/p>\r\n            <\/div>\r\n            <div class=\"tab-contents js-tab-contents\">\r\n              <p>The Program of Electrical, Systems and Information Engineering develops professionals who have a broad<br \/>perspective, insight, a sense of responsibility, and an ethical outlook, as well as expertise, technical knowledge, and<br \/>the ability to analyze and solve problems.<br \/>To that end, this program covers the fields of electricity, systems, and information, and offers an education that<br \/>deals with \u201celectricity\u201d in a comprehensive way, from the two perspectives of electricity as a thing in itself, and of the<br \/>abstract concept of electricity, systems, and information. This is obtained through mastery of such basic subjects as<br \/>\u201cCalculus\u201d to be offered in the first year.<\/li>\r\n                  <li>Basic knowledge of physical theory and experimental methods required by scientists and engineers ( Goal B ).<br \/>This is obtained through mastery of basic subjects such as \u201cGeneral Mechanics\u201d, \u201cExperimental Methods and<br \/>Laboratory Work in Physics\u201d to be offered in the first year.<\/li>\r\n                  <li>General understanding and acquisition of knowledge about technologies in the field of electronic systems, and<br \/>acquisition of the basic knowledge common to this field ( Goal B ). This is obtained<br \/>through mastery of basic specialized subjects such as \u201cApplied Mathematics\u201d to be offered during the period from<br \/>the third or fourth term of the first year through the second year.<\/li>\r\n                  <li>The concepts, knowledge, and methodology that form the foundation of the field of electronic systems ( Goal B ).<br \/>This is obtained through mastery of specialized subjects to be offered during the period from the third or fourth term<br \/>of the first year through the third year.<\/li>\r\n                  <li>The ability to apply basic concepts, knowledge, and methodology in the field of electronic systems to concrete,<br \/>professional issues ( Goal B ). This is obtained through mastery of specialized subjects to be offered during the<br \/>period from the third or fourth term of the first year through the third year.<\/li>\r\n                  <li>The ability to resolve problems and challenges by using experiments to solve practical problems, by using<br \/>methods of numerical calculation, and by gathering relevant data ( Goal D ). This is obtained through mastery of<br \/>basic specialized subjects such as \u201cBasic Experiments in Electrical Engineering\u201d and \u201cProgramming\u201d to be offered<br \/>during the period from the first or second term of the second year through the third year.<\/li>\r\n                  <li>The ability to make action plans on one\u2019s own initiative in relation to practical issues and challenges, make<br \/>adjustments and resolve problems and challenges by using basic and specialized knowledge and methods ( Goal<br \/>C, D ). These are obtained through mastery of \u201cGraduation Thesis\u201d to be offered in the fourth year.<\/li>\r\n                  <li>The ability to organize research results and write logically, including regarding the significance and validity of the<br \/>obtained outcomes, and to present these research outcomes and discuss them verbally and in an<br \/>easy-to-understand manner ( Goal E ). This is obtained through mastery of \u201cGraduation Thesis\u201d to be offered in the<br \/>fourth year.<\/li>\r\n                  <li>The teamwork, leadership, and communication abilities needed to work in a group ( Goal E ). These are obtained<br \/>through mastery of basic specialized subjects such as \u201cBasic Experiments in Electrical Engineering\u201d to be offered<br \/>during the period from the second year through the third year.<\/li>\r\n                  <li>The ability to take an approach to solving various problems after understanding that such problems that exist in<br \/>humankind, society, and among individuals can be interpreted in various ways depending on social conditions,<br \/>cultures, etc. ( Goal A, D ). This is obtained through mastery of liberal arts education subjects such as \u201cBasic<br \/>Language I\u201d and \u201cArea Courses\u201d.<\/li>\r\n                  <li>The ability to read, write, converse, and retrieve information in the English language necessary for conducting<br \/>research ( Goal E ). In terms of knowledge and skills, applicants should have a high level of academic ability in mathematics and science (physics and chemistry), which are necessary for studying electrical engineering, electronic engineering, systems engineering, and information engineering. With regard to the ability to think, judge, and express oneself, applicants should have the ability to use knowledge and understanding of mathematics and science (e.g., physics, chemistry) to logically analyze problems to be solved in a multifaceted and creative manner, and the ability to communicate one&#8217;s knowledge and ideas to others in an easy-to-understand manner, or should be able to engage in such learning actively. With regard to the attitude of learning by taking the initiative and working with diverse people, applicants should have the ability to carry out group work by demonstrating communication skills and cooperativeness, and to contribute to the success of group work by demonstrating leadership as necessary, or should be able to make efforts to enhance these abilities. In addition to the above-mentioned mathematics and physics, applicants are required to take all subjects and courses in accordance with the curricula specified by each high school before entering the university. In particular, it is recommended that applicants study English sufficiently to master all four skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). We also seek students who can aspire to become international human resources capable of carrying out advanced research and development in the fields of electrical, electronic, systems, and information engineering. We are also looking for students who are motivated to acquire specialized knowledge, skills, and problem-solving abilities in these fields and improve their communication skills in languages, including English, with an awareness of their own problems.<\/p>\r\n            <\/div>\r\n            <div class=\"tab-contents js-tab-contents\">\r\n              <p>Cluster 2 (Electrical, Electronic and Systems Engineering) aims to develop human resources who can work for people and society through electrical engineering, electronic engineering, systems engineering, and information engineering. We are looking for students who have acquired the specialized knowledge and language skills to transfer to the third year of the undergraduate program, especially the following students. Students who are particularly interested in scientific phenomena and have had in-depth study of such phenomena. Those who are fond of manufacturing and have had experience in creating something ingeniously. Students who are interested in integrated circuits and computer hardware and wish to design and develop them. Students who are interested in mathematically representing and analyzing complex phenomena. Students who are interested in realizing their own ideas through software. Students with excellent language skills who have achieved good results in TOEIC\u00ae and EIKEN tests and aim to be active internationally in fields related to Cluster 2. In addition to mathematics, physics, and English, students are expected to take all subjects and courses in accordance with the curricula specified by each technical college, et cetera, so as not to interfere with their studies after transfer.
